South America Tour
On the 20th October 2019, we hopped on a plane bound for Lima, Peru, where we started our big South America Trip, travelling as Overlanders in our campervan, Thor. The idea is to travel South down to Patagonia through Chile and Argentina. Then back up and East to Beunos Aires. From there we’ll head through Uruguay, Brasil, Paraguay, Bolivia, back through Peru, Ecuador, Columbia and lastly to Panama. We know how plans change so all we have is a general sense of the direction we wish to travel. The details will fall into place as we go. We will be doing weekly updates on the blog, so be sure to check in and read all about our adventures as we go!

Last week I explained our incredibly lucky coincidental meeting with Ariel, who through a series of connections and Facebook groups put us in touch with Franco and Sebastian in San Carlos de Bariloche. Well, this week we arrived…

It’s incredible how quickly life can change. Not even 2 weeks ago, I was lamenting the fact that we weren’t meeting other overlanders and I was missing conversations with fellow English speakers. Then came Mendoza where we were…
We have two “Bibles” that we couldn’t do without here in South America. One is the iOverlander app which shows us campsites, wild camping spots, tourist attractions, gas stations, border crossings, laundrettes and more. The second is the…
We have met loads of wonderful people on our journey but by and large it has mainly just been the two of us. Our lack on Spanish prevents us from having proper conversations with the locals and there…
After spending 4 days living inside mechanic’s garages, we were super excited to get back on the road. Once again we could breathe fresh air and watch this incredibly beautiful world go by. These overlanding vehicles really are…
